Targeting the right users is key to running a successful campaign. With Targetoo’s Smart Rules, you can easily combine audiences using AND, OR, and NONE logic. This allows you to include or exclude users based on their behavior or profile.
Let’s go through some practical examples using three example audiences:
-
Audience A
-
Audience B
-
Audience C
Scenario 1: Target all users in A, B, or C
Goal: Reach users in any of the three audiences.
What to do:
Add A, B, and C under “At least one of them”.
👉 This tells the system to target users in any of those audiences.
Scenario 2: Target only users in all three audiences
Goal: Reach users who are in A and B and C.
What to do:
Add A, B, and C under “Mandatory ones”.
👉 Only users who are part of all three audiences will be targeted.
Scenario 3: Exclude all users in A, B, and C
Goal: Reach users who are not in any of those audiences.
What to do:
Add A, B, and C under “None of them”.
👉 Users in A, B, or C will be excluded.
Scenario 4: Target users in A or B, but only if they are also in C
Goal: Reach users who are in A or B, and also in C.
What to do:
-
Add A and B under “At least one of them”
-
Add C under “Mandatory ones”
👉 The system will find users from A or B who also exist in C.
Scenario 5: Target users in A, but not in B or C
Goal: Reach users in A, but exclude those who are also in B or C.
What to do:
-
Add A under “At least one of them” or “Mandatory ones”
-
Add B and C under “None of them”
👉 You’ll reach users only in A and not in B or C.
