Targetoo offers a Lookalike Audience feature that helps you find new users who are similar to your best existing users. This is a smart way to grow your reach without losing relevance.

What Are Lookalikes?
A lookalike audience is built using a seed group — like people who installed your app, clicked on your ad, or visited your website.
Our system then uses machine learning to find other users who behave or look like them, based on:
-
Demographics
-
Interests
-
Online behavior
This helps you reach more people who are likely to be interested in your product or service.
Important: Lookalikes Replace Original Audiences
If you enable Lookalikes in a campaign, it will only target users similar to your audience, not the users in the audience itself.
👉 Your original audience will not be targeted — only their lookalikes.
Want to Target Both: Audiences AND Their Lookalikes?
To do this, you’ll need to use Strategies inside your campaign.

What Are Strategies?
Strategies allow you to:
-
Split your campaign into multiple parts (called line items)
-
Test different targeting options (like A/B testing)
-
Set specific budgets and prices per strategy
Important: At least one strategy must be active for your campaign to run and buy traffic.
Using Smart Rules for Lookalikes
You can define which audiences are used to create your lookalike group with Smart Rules:
-
Mandatory Ones – The lookalike base will only include users found in all these audiences.
-
At Least One of Them – The lookalike base will include users found in any of these audiences.
-
None of Them – The lookalike base will exclude users in these audiences.
Campaign Setup Warning
If you enable “Target Lookalikes” and select the same audience in both:
-
“Mandatory Ones”
AND -
“At Least One of Them”
Your campaign will not run.
Make sure each audience only appears in one section to avoid errors.
Best Practices
-
Use Lookalikes to find new high-potential users.
-
Don’t forget to create a separate strategy if you also want to target your original audience.
-
Double-check that no audience is in both “Mandatory” and “At Least One of Them” fields.
